Background

There are a wealth of wilderness orientation and pre-orientation trip programs at colleges across the country. We're in the process of surveying all the programs we know of for more information about how they coordinate their activities. We hope that this will help us, and others who attempt to start a program in the future, have a better idea of what works. As you can see, this is still very much in progress! We started with details from Jennifer Davis-Berman's 1995 survey of wilderness orientation programs and it has been an invaluable resource.
